It’s Hard to Tell
I would say Quasi’s confused by all the snow we’ve had…
but it’s kind of hard to tell…
She always looks like that.

Quasi got an honorable mention in Martha Stewart’s Adoption Stories Pet Photo Contest!
Some wonderful people have put together a little Etsy shop called Craft Hope.
All proceeds of the Craft Hope Etsy shop benefit Doctors Without Borders in Haiti and all items in the shop have been generously donated by the crafting community.
Since the shop opened on January 14th, they’ve sold over….wait for it…$10,000!!! Isn’t that just amazing?!
I was able to donate this security envelope necklace from UglyKittyReDeux:
They’re accepting donations through tomorrow evening and will keep the shop open until everything sells. So if you want to make a donation, please do so!
Also, check out the shops for those that put CraftHope together.

I’m going to celebrate since this will never happen again!
A while back I made a set of wedding invitations for an adorable couple named Jenn and Matt.
They were one of the few couples that I actually had the chance to meet – so many of my clients aren’t local. We went to lunch where they bounced off each other, firing questions left and right. But they weren’t the usual: “what colors do you have;” “can you print this on a square;” “does this come in metallic;” “will this cost extra?” type questions. They seemed more interested in getting to know me more than anything else. It felt like lunch with old friends.
They shared cute stories of how they met (at another wedding), how they chose their reception location (they both spent a good portion of their childhood in Charlottesville, Va), and some of the wonderful ideas they had for their wedding (collecting Wedgwood china for the dessert plates…that guests took home as favors).
And, if that wasn’t enough, Jenn was friends with Christian Siriano…winner of Project Runway Season 4…wait for it……..who was going to make her dress!!
Did I mention that Project Runway is my favorite show? Oh and that I think, even before I was trying to suck up to Jenn
, that Siriano was the best designer the show has ever had? Did I also mention that I will eat nothing by celery for the next 6 months if it means that I can get down to a small enough size to borrow that dress?
Oh, I did? Ok.
*back to my Reeses Cups then*
Anyway, I’ve been wanting to post about this wedding since the invitations went out, but StyleMePretty did a much better job then I ever could. So here’s a sneak peak, but you’ll have to go to the site to see the full story.
