I would like to introduce you all to the most recent 3/4 addition to our happy home…
Meet Ilean!

I picked her up from the Cats R Us shelter in Annapolis yesterday and we’re seeing how she’ll mesh with Quasi and Keiko (you probably don’t know Keiko).

She was found as a stray with an injured leg (probably hit by a car). She was going to be put to sleep when someone decided to save her because she was so sweet. They performed surgery on her leg, but it didn’t take and they had to amputate.

She seems to be getting along fine though, especially considering that she’s only had three legs since August. She’s a little wobbly and uses her tail for support, but so far she has no trouble jumping up on the couch or climbing the stairs.

We’ll see how she does when she’s introduced to the other kitties.

So far, she’s very sweet, is a HUGE bundle of purring, but is a little spooked – and rightfully so. She wants to be pet, but freaks out and swipes/hisses after a few seconds. I think this will pass pretty quickly though.

I’m going to be optimistic and file this under “Friends of Quasi” although, I honestly think Quasi could care less. She’s not interested in Ilean in the slightest.
