Meet the newest honorary (aka reluctant) member of the Friends of Quasi Club, Cooper!

I just wanted to share another wonderful “Ugly Kitty” with you all (all 6 people who read this ).  I’m not going to post the photo here, as they may be a little disturbing and I don’t want to force them on you if you don’t want to look, but I’d like you to meet “Chase, the Cat with no Face.”

[paraphrased from her website] At 4 weeks old, “Chase,” a long-haired black and white kitten was hit by a car and became quite disfigured.  In order to save her life, vets removed much of the skin and fur from her face, removed her eyelids and nose/mouth area, and a hind leg.  Now, at age 3, she’s completely healed and acts like any normal kitty.  She’s in no pain whatsoever, and has been examined by 10 vets who will confirm that — she just needs eye drops several times a day to keep her eyes moist.  Chase now “works” as a therapy cat working with the disabled and elderly.

Just wanted to share a beautiful story with you.

Again, the images of Chase may be disturbing and I warn you to take caution.  Remember that she’s in no pain and lives a wonderful happy life with another kitty, two dogs, and a loving person.
